Eddie Benton-Banai was born on March 4, 1931 in Hayward, Wisconsin, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Path of Souls (2012), Looking Glass (2018) and American Playhouse (1980). He died on November 30, 2020 in Hayward, Wisconsin, USA.

He was a co-founder of the American Indian Movement.

He was an Anishinaabe Ojibwe, and was born on the Lac Courte Oreilles reservation in northern Wisconsin.
