Fabrizio Bentivoglio

Fabrizio Bentivoglio is an Italian actor, director and screenwriter widely regarded as one of the most distinctive figures of contemporary Italian cinema. Raised in Milan, he trained at the Piccolo Teatro before beginning a screen career that gained early attention in the 1980s. He achieved major recognition with performances in films such as Marrakech Express (1989), Sacred Silence (1996) and Eternity and a Day (1998), collaborating with leading European directors. Alongside acting, he has pursued music and filmmaking, founding the Tipota Movie Company and later making his feature directing debut with Don't Waste Your Time, Johnny! (2007). His work is marked by versatility, intellectual depth and a strong presence across cinema, theatre and music.
