- Husband Phillip Bent died with friend and fellow actor Peter Sachse in a private plane crash on July 12, 1966. The civilian-converted AT-6 type, owned and piloted by her husband, was showing off for wives Linda & Salli Sachse, friends and other beach-goers near La Jolla's WindanSea beach area when it pulled up too low, crashing into the sea.
