- Was in a relationship with INXS frontman Michael Hutchence from 1982 to 1987 and remained close friends with him after their breakup. Hutchence wrote the song "Never Tear Us Apart" for her. Bennett was the last person that Hutchence called shortly before his death.
- Was featured on INXS's 1982 music video "The One Thing". Bennett appears at the banquet table at the 1:16 mark when Michael Hutchence is walking and singing behind her.
