- Retired from acting in 2007 after being diagnosed with a congenital heart defect (amidst rumours of being 'difficult' due to a prodigious alcohol intake).
- Appeared three times in films with Hayley Mills. The first was his breakthrough role in The Family Way (1966); the second was Twisted Nerve (1968) and the third was Endless Night (1972).
- His London stage debut and acting debut was as Ophelia in "Hamlet" at the opening of the Queen's Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue. The production was staged by the Youth Theatre.
