Billy Bennett was born on November 21, 1887 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. He was an actor, known for Almost a Gentleman (1938), Radio Follies (1934) and Young Man's Fancy (1939). He died on June 30, 1942 in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, UK.

British music hall comedian, radio actor and monologist, the son of an acrobat. Billed as "Almost a Gentleman".

During World War I, he served in the 16th Lancers and was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal, the Military Medal and the Belgian Croix de guerre.
