- Spencer Gordon Bennet was born on January 5, 1893 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He was a director and producer, known for The Oil Raider (1934), The House Without a Key (1926) and Jaws of Justice (1933). He died on October 8, 1987 in Santa Monica, California, USA.
- Known as "The King of Serial Directors"; the inscription on his tombstone reads, "His Final Chapter".
