Biography

Friedrich Benfer was born on August 28, 1905 in Naples, Italy. He was an actor, known for The Heart of a Queen (1940), Mädchenjahre einer Königin (1936) and Nights in Andalusia (1938). He was married to Jenny Jugo. He died on January 30, 1996 in Milano, Italy.

Italian-born German character actor of the 1930's and 40's. Married to the actress Jenny Jugo, in whose films he first appeared in 1928. After the war, ran a successful chemist's business in Bazzano, Italy, near Bologna.

He became a popular support actor in the 30's.

The Italian born actor Friedrich Benfer began his film career at the end of the 20's in Germany.

When war broke out he went back to Italy where he took part in five Italian productions.
