Allan Belyea was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He has lived and worked in Calgary, Alberta since 1985. Allan began his Grip career in 1991, and joined I.A.T.S.E. Local 212 in 1994. While the majority of his work was as a Key Grip, he has also worked extensively as a Best Boy, Dolly Grip, and Rigging Grip. He has had an unusually eclectic career, with a considerable resume of TV commercials, music videos, industrials, and his personal love, independent and art/experimental films. He has worked on industry features including Legends of the Fall (1994), The Edge (1997), The Bourne Legacy (2012), and Cold Pursuit (2019). Allan has been married to Lisa Belyea since August 7, 2004.
