Karen Belfo is a Canadian/European Award-winning Writer & Director.
She is well known for, her experimental films, Warehouse Mannequin (2025) & A Montreal Lullaby (2021). And her documentary film, The Ofleb Calendar: Queens of Montreal (2023). Screenings took place at various Film Festivals across the globe.
Past credits include, a talk show titled, KB's Sofa & Guests (2021-2022), and a puppet mini series titled, Eleanor's Fortress (2021). As well as, short films, Saldani's Enigma (2013) and A St-Therese Moment (2012). Public Film Screenings took place in NYC & Michigan for Saldani's Enigma and A St-Therese Moment.
Her contribution to Music as a Celtic Jazz Singer/Songwriter (2008-2012). During those years, two amazing music videos were produced. City D'Amour (2010) and Deny's Outcry (2009). City D'Amour (2010) reached the Top 10 Canadian Jazz Charts, along side artists, such as Diana Krall, eventually reaching #1 for 3 weeks. It was also mentioned in the 'I Heart My City' travel section, Nov 2011 edition of National Geographic. Deny's Outcry (2009), screened on Much Music Toronto & at Montreal's Segal Center Theater. In 2009, she won the Performance of Excellence Award at the Music Talent Search Competition - Canada.
Her contribution to Stage as a Playwright and Director (2004-2008). Tapamenko Swing (2007) and I Wished For Alex (2006) - Monument-National Theater - Canada.
She is the Founder of Ofleb Productions (2006-2012).
She is a NYFA Graduate (2011).
She has obtained Certificates in Film (CalArts - California - 2026) and Marine Biology (American Museum of Natural History - NY - 2025).
