Bearded German character actor, for many years on the Berlin stage and in cabaret. Also ran his own record company, "Die Neue Truppe". Was denounced as an opponent of the NS-regime, spent a year at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and was forbidden to work from 1937 to 1945.

In 1905, Alfred Beierle was part of the first class of the acting school of the German Theater, founded by Max Reinhardt.

In April 1934, Beierle went abroad to the West for a while. In the Netherlands, he contacted emigrant circles, which the German embassy in The Hague learned of. When his participation in the film The Violet from Potsdamer Platz was discovered there in 1936, the embassy informed German authorities in Berlin about Beierle's contacts. As a result, Beierle, who had since returned home, was expelled from both the Reich Theatre Chamber and the film department in 1936. The accusations were that Beierle had "insulted the Führer" and "incited hatred against Germany" while abroad.
