Luc Beerten

Luc Beerten is a Belgian screenwriter and script editor, often forgotten in Flanders, Belgium as founding father of what is called by many Flanders's pride, the hit sitcom F.C. De Kampioenen (1990) (1990-2011). A Beerten idea, the show premiered October 6, 1990 airing 21 seasons. Accurately reflecting Flemish culture, Beerten's creation was an instant hit in the early nineties and became an evergreen of Flemish television. Beerten's show has camaraderie through soccer, association football, as a main theme. He created the show with Willy Vanduren and Bruno Raes but quit his work as its script editor in 1991, after just two seasons.
