Biography

Friedrich G. Beckhaus was born on December 11, 1927 in Berlin, Germany. He was an actor, known for X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and Spider-Man (2002). He was married to Erika Beckhaus. He died on February 5, 2026 in Berlin, Germany.

He is the German dubbing voice of Robert Duvall, Harry Dean Stanton, Peter Mark Richman in "Dynasty", James Tolkan in "Remington Steele", Bruce McGill in "MacGyver", Andrew Robinson in "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and countless others. He also voiced the Android Greg in the animated TV-Series "Captain Future" and the Dog Rantanplan in "Lucky Luke" (1984).

Awarded the 2019 'Deutscher Preis für Synchron' for Lifetime Achievement.

Studied acting under Gustaf Gründgens in Düsseldorf. First acted on stage in Hamburg and Berlin. Best known on screen for his role as Atan Shubashi in the cult sci-fi series "Raumpatrouille - Die phantastischen Abenteuer des Raumschiffes Orion" (1966).
