- Zoe Rae was born on July 13, 1910 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She was an actress, known for Danger Within (1918), The Kaiser, the Beast of Berlin (1918) and The Star Prince (1918). She was married to Ronald Foster Barlow. She died on May 20, 2006 in Newberg, Oregon, USA.

- In A Kentucky Cinderella (1917) she was required to perform in "black face", which was done with the application of a bright-red powder dissolved in warm water to her face and body. She also performed with Lon Chaney in The Kaiser, the Beast of Berlin (1918). No print exists.
- Once dubbed "The Child Bernhardt", her contract at Universal was not renewed due to interference by her headstrong stage mother and the fact that her father wanted her to have a normal education.
- Her only known film to still exist is The Star Prince (1918), produced independently. All of her Universal films are thought to be lost.
- Following her career she married and had two children (boy and girl). Later tried screenwriting and singing and opened her own dance studio in Hollywood.
- Silent screen child star briefly with the trademark blonde page-boy hair style in score of shorts and feature length films from 1915 to 1920. She signed a five-year contract at Universal Studios at the behest of Carl Laemmle for $100 a week.
- While playing 'dress-up' before the cameras may have been fun at times, it was also hard work, particularly for one so young. There were many long hours spent beneath the harsh glare of the blazing Klieg lights.
