Biography

Søren Bay DFF is a Danish cinematographer working internationally across high-end television drama and feature films. A graduate of the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in the UK, he is represented in the UK by United Agents. His television credits include The Rig 2, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, World on Fire, and Three Little Birds, while his feature film work includes You & Me Forever and About Sara.

Known for his cinematic approach to visual storytelling, Søren creates atmospheric and emotionally resonant imagery that serves both character and narrative. His work is distinguished by a refined visual language, strong collaborative instincts, and the ability to adapt his craft across a broad range of genres and styles.

His cinematography has received international recognition, including an Astra Creative Arts Award nomination in 2025 for Outlander: Blood of My Blood, a Robert Award nomination for You & Me Forever in 2013, and a Camera 300 nomination at the Manaki Brothers International Cinematographers' Film Festival for About Sara.
