  • Mike was born and raised in Rochester, New York, showing an interest in illustration and animation at an early age. Following high school, he attended the Rochester Institute of Technology for Illustration in 1996, and then Film & Animation in 1998. He graduated in 2002. He moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2003, where he was introduced to fellow Rochesterian, Patrick Garney by Ben Raymondjack, who gave him his start in live action as a production assistant on All That (1994) & Drake & Josh (2004) at the Nickelodeon Studios on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. Later that year, he met Jason Stiff on a delivery to the Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, who helped get him his first job in the Animation industry. On his 25th birthday, Mike was offered a position at Film Roman Animation Studio as the Post-Production Coordinator on the 8th Season of King of the Hill (1997). However, in May 2004, he moved back home to Rochester, NY after a loss in his family. In 2005, he returned to Los Angeles where he was rehired at Film Roman as a Production Coordinator for The Simpsons (1989) and The Simpsons Movie (2007) in 2006. Per the recommendation of co-worker, Lisa S. Cervantes, Mike was promoted into the Color Department as an Assistant Color Designer starting the 17th season of The Simpsons (1989)" show.

    In 2009, Mike started "www.FlourCityPost.com," a website featuring digital image restoration work of vintage views of his Rochester, NY hometown.
