Biography

Gabriel Barylli was born on May 31, 1957 in Vienna, Austria. He is an actor and director, known for Butterbrot (1990), A French Woman (1995) and Wer liebt, dem wachsen Flügel... (1999). He has been married to Sylvia Leifheit since 2008.

Noted author of novels such as "Schmetterling" (Butterfly; 1992) and "Honigmond" (Honeymoon; 1993) and stage plays.

Studied acting at the Max-Reinhardt-Seminar in Vienna.

Lives in Vienna.

For his breakthrough role in Der Schüler Gerber (1981), he was coached by his former maths teacher, who hadn't liked him at school.
