Lyle Barton (a.k.a. Lyle Tayo) retired from films in the 1920s. She was
a contract player with the "Hal Roach Film Studios". She then quit show
business and became a housewife and mother thereafter. She is interred
in Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood, California.
Lyle Minnie Shipman was the younger daughter of Charles Frederic Shipman and his wife, Jennie Thomas. Her elder sister was named Birleen. She was raised in Kansas City, Missouri.
