- Buzz Barton was born on September 3, 1913 in Gallatin, Missouri, USA. He was an actor, known for Rough Ridin' Red (1928), The Bantam Cowboy (1928) and Pals of the Prairie (1929). He was married to Thelma Doyle. He died on November 20, 1980 in Reseda, California, USA.

- Freckle-faced American child star of B-westerns, an adept junior rider and roper, in films from the age of eleven. His studio, the Poverty Row outfit FBO, billed him as "The World's Greatest Juvenile Rider and Western Star" (he also had the moniker of "The Boy Wonder of Westerns"). Buzz was popular for awhile in the 1930's, before his appeal waned and he left show business for the rodeo circuit. A series of "Buzz Barton Special Daisy Air Rifles" were named after him.
- During WW II Barton enlisted in the US Navy, and was a crewman aboard the USS Missouri when the Japanese signed surrender documents on that ship in 1945.
