Dmitry Barshevsky was born in Moscow, USSR [now Russia]. He is a director and producer, known for "Moscow Saga" (2004), "Heavy sand" (2008) and "Risk" (1988) (The film's first screening in the USSR was seen by 230 million people. Worldwide, the film "Risk" has been seen by approx. one billion spectators.). He became a citizen of Israel. He made a feature-documentary film "Never again" (2022) about Shoa. He lives in Latvia. He is married.
