Biography

Chantelle Barry is an Australian-born actor, singer-songwriter, writer and director of Southeast Asian and Italian heritage. She was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, to immigrant parents who instilled in her a deep appreciation for hard work, creativity and storytelling. Long before pursuing acting professionally, Barry spent her childhood singing alongside her sisters on local television and performing on stages throughout Perth, sparking a lifelong love of entertaining audiences.

Recognizing her passion for the arts, she earned a scholarship to study theatre and dance at John Curtin College of the Arts before continuing her training at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). While still in Australia, Barry first came to national attention after winning the inaugural season of Popstars Australia, the country's first reality television series, launching her professional career in music before transitioning into acting.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Barry built a career spanning film, television and AAA video games, working in both traditional on-camera roles and performance and facial capture. Her screen credits include The Chosen, NCIS, and the Call of Duty franchise, where she has portrayed characters through performance capture.

During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, Barry turned her attention to screenwriting, eventually expanding into directing and producing. Four years later, she premiered her original short musical film, In Your Dreams, at the LA Shorts International Film Festival. She continues to develop original feature films while pursuing acting projects in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
