Biography

Nigel Barrie was born on February 5, 1889 in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India. He was an actor, known for Bab's Diary (1917), The Tower of Silence (1925) and The Little Minister (1921). He was married to Gertrude Poklington and Helen Lee. He died on October 8, 1971 in South Africa.

Tall, dark-haired and debonair silent screen leading man and dancer, born Roynon Cholmondeley Nigel-Jones in India to British parents. Acted in vaudeville, on the legitimate stage and in films, often as romantic interest opposite Marguerite Clark.
