Jane Barrett was born on May 7, 1922 in Highgate, London, England, UK. She was an actress, known for The Avengers (1961), Eureka Stockade (1949) and BBC Sunday-Night Theatre (1950). She was married to Hans Heinrich Helweg and Derek Glynne. She died on July 20, 1969 in Torbay, Devon, England, UK.

British leading lady, on stage from 1938. She was a member of the BBC Repertory Company in the early 1940's and later had a couple of prominent screen roles in The Captive Heart (1946) and Eureka Stockade (1949).

After her film debut in The Captive Heart (1946) Barrett signed a six-year contract with The Rank Organisation.
