Aston Barrett was born on November 22, 1946 in Kingston, Jamaica. He was a director and actor, known for Moonfall (2022), Bob Marley: One Love (2024) and Dark Summer (1993). He was married to Angela. He died on February 3, 2024 in Miami, Florida, USA.

Son of Violet Marshall, and Wilfred Barrett.

Bass player and Musical director for The Wailers of Bob Marley group.

Survived by his wife Angela, his three sons, Aston, Jr, Floyd, and Kevin, three daughters, Novelette Lindsey, Shadona and Ramonda Barrett, two sisters, Narma Cherry, and Winsome Barrett, and grandchildren and great-grand children.
