- Byron Barr was born on August 18, 1917 in Corning, Iowa, USA. He was an actor, known for Double Indemnity (1944), Tokyo Rose (1946) and Seven Were Saved (1947). He died on November 3, 1966 in Sacramento County, California, USA.
- Actor Gig Young's real name was Byron Barr. He even used it professionally in his earliest movies which occasionally caused confusion with name recognition between the two actors.
- At the time of his death, he was working as an insurance man, operating the Byron Barr Insurance Agency.
- In 1948 he left acting and, eventually, opened a toy story called Tiny Tim's Toys. He lived in the Los Angeles area for 25 years before moving to Carmichael.
