Biography

Frank Baron was born on February 5, 1919 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA. He was a writer and actor, known for The Man from Blackhawk (1959), The Jerry Colonna Show (1951) and Komedy Kapers (1956). He was married to Margaret A Platt. He died on October 23, 2017 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Barron had two stints as The Hollywood Reporter editor under owner-publisher Tichi Wilkerson, first from 1964-68 and then again in the late '70s. In addition he served as news director for Billboard Publications' five magazines from 1968-72, his journalism career spanning 70 years.

An agent signed Frank Baron and Ray Brenner, teamed as comedy writers, wrote for radio shows, Red Skelton, Edgar Bergen, Duffy's Tavern, Fibber McGee & Molly and Martin & Lewis.
