  • Boris Barnet was born on June 18, 1902 in Moscow, Russian Empire [now Russia]. He was a director and actor, known for The Adventures of the Three Reporters (1926), Secret Agent (1947) and Okraina (1933). He was married to Yelena Kuzmina, Natalia Glan, Alla Kazanskaya and Valentina Barnet. He died on January 8, 1965 in Riga, Latvian SSR, USSR [now Latvia].

  • Boris Barnet was invited to direct the movie The Conspiracy of Ambassadors (1966) and already started pre-production, but he unexpectedly committed suicide at age 62 in Riga, USSR [now Latvia]. So the movie was directed by Nikolai Rozantsev.
  • Trained at the State Film School under Lev Kuleshov and first worked as assistant to Fedor Ozep in 1926. Did his best work as a director between 1928 and 1940, occasionally also appearing in his films.
