She was married to Richard Rubio Lopez Jr, Hammer, Reed and Lawrence Trumbley. She died on September 13, 2005 in Lansing, Michigan, USA.

She had relatives in Lansing, Michigan and visited them one summer to the delight of fans from nearby neighborhoods. She had a birthday during the visit to Lansing and the Kwast bakery made her a special cake for the celebration!
