He was awarded the O.C. (Officer of the Order of Canada) on May 4, 1995 and invested on Invested on: November 16, 1995 in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. A painter from the Automatiste group and a sculptor, he has produced several monumental works, including Window on the Future in 1992, a sculpture commissioned for the 350th anniversary of the founding of Montreal.
