Biography

Joe is currently appearing on Broadway alongside Tony Award-winner Jonathan Groff in the hit Bobby Darin musical Just In Time. Other Broadway credits include the iconic roles of "Danny Zuko" in Grease, and "Sonny" in A Bronx Tale - The Musical, written by Chazz Palminteri and Alan Menken, and co-directed by Robert De Niro and Jerry Zaks.

Joe began writing, directing, and acting at the age of thirteen in his hometown of New Smyrna Beach, FL, when his first short film, Double Trouble, was featured on the syndicated television show Kidsworld. He went on to study film and TV production at Syracuse University, and worked as a production assistant for Entertainment Tonight. After starring in the Off-Broadway smash Tony n' Tina's Wedding, Joe was tapped by NBC to star in the daytime drama Another World as Captain Joe Carlino - a role he turned into a cornerstone of the 35 year-old series. When the producers of Grease offered him the role of Zuko, he managed the double duty for 5 months doing the soap in the morning and the 8 show-a-week Broadway schedule simultaneously.

Joe spent 8 years in Las Vegas where he starred on the Vegas Strip in the Tony-Award winning musical, Jersey Boys. While in Vegas, he created a Film/TV production program at Bishop Gorman High School, and received national recognition for his work with the students.

In the aftermath of September 11th, Joe moved with his family into Battery Park City, and became a founding member of the neighborhood's Community Emergency Response Team, earning FEMA's Top Gun Award. He's been proud to be an active part of that community's rebuilding process.
