Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Andrea Barata Ribeiro, elected by Variety magazine as one of the 5 most influential female producers in the world, is a partner of O2 Filmes, with filmmakers Fernando Meirelles and Paulo Morelli.

Andrea produced the following feature films: the Oscar-nominated 'City of God', 'Against Them All', 'Antônia', 'Not by Chance', 'City of Men', 'Blindness', 'À Deriva', 'Xingu', 'A Busca', 'A Noite da Virada' (New Year's Eve) and 'Zoom'.

In 2010 she produced the documentary 'Waste Land', Nominee Best Documentary Feature, Academy Awards 2011.

For the Television she has produced four seasons of the series 'City of Men', two seasons of 'Antônia' , 'Sound and Fury', the adaptation of the Canadian's series 'Slings and Arrows' and 'Felizes para Sempre?' for Globo Television. For HBO Latin America she produced 'Sons of Carnival' (nominated to an Emmy Awards), 'Destino: São Paulo', 'Destino: Rio de Janeiro' and 'A Vaga'. For GNT (Brazilian cable TV), she produced 'Beleza S.A.' and 'Lili A Ex' and for FOX she produced 'Contos de Edgar'.

Her most recent productions are the series 'Os Experientes' for Globo TV (Nominee Best TV Movie/ Mni-Series, Emmy Awards 2016), the first season of 'Rua Augusta', the feature film 'Malasartes e o Duelo com a Morte' and the documentaries 'Exodus' and 'The Meaning Of Life'.
