- Vera Baranovskaya was born on March 7, 1885 in St. Petersburg, Russian Empire [now Russia]. She was an actress, known for Mother (1926), Takový je zivot (1930) and The End of St. Petersburg (1927). She died on December 7, 1935 in Paris, France.
- Studied acting with Konstantin Stanislavski. She was a member of the Moscow Art Theater from 1903 to 1915 and again in the mid-1920s.
- Baranovskaya left the USSR in 1928 and subsequently appeared in German, Czech, and French films. She died in Paris.
