British actor Darren Bancroft was born in Leicester & as a teenager he was a member of the Leicestershire Youth Theatre.
In 1991 he was offered a place at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama, (now Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance) graduating in the summer of 1994. The same year he made his professional acting & screen debut in the BBC courtroom drama 'Crown Prosecutor'. Numerous screen credits were to follow which include, 'The Capture' ''Coronation Street', 'The Larkins', 'Code Of A Killer', 'Hollyoaks', 'Casualty', 'The Job Lot', 'Eastenders', 'The Bill' 'Doctors', 'Dream Team', 'Heartbeat', 'Goodnight Sweetheart' 'The Tudors', 'Titanic Town & 'Endgame'
