Biography

Socrates Ballis was born on August 27, 1933. He was an actor and producer, known for Impulse (1974), Oliver Twisted (2000) and Mystery of the Sacred Shroud (1978). He died on September 13, 1998 in Orlando, Florida, USA.

A native of Cairo, Egypt, Ballis was of Greek heritage and moved to New York City in the early 1950s. He started a shipping company with a fellow Greek, actor Christopher George. However, a few years later, the stock market dropped and sank the business.
