Biography

Nicholas Ball was born on April 11, 1946 in Leamington, Warwickshire, England, UK. He was an actor and producer, known for Lifeforce (1985), Mutant Chronicles (2008) and Overlord (1975). He was married to Ayda Kay and Pamela Stephenson. He died on June 4, 2024.

He was considered for the role of Merdeen in The Trial of a Time Lord: Part One (1986).

He was considered for the roles of Caine, Lamson and Kelly in Lifeforce (1985), but was instead cast as Roger Derebridge. His performance was cut considerably in the theatrical and extended versions. He spent 15 weeks filming his part, but ended up being on screen for about 10 minutes.

First husband of Pamela Stephenson.

He became best known for his starring role in Hazell (1978) as a cynical private eye.
