William L. Baker is a #1 rated R&B radio broadcaster who out of curiosity took an acting class created by Actor John Cassavetes Rosemary's Baby (1968)_. Through study of the Stanislofski Method he was one of only three students out of 12 deemed capable of pursuing an acting career. After a brief stint with Motown as a Jazz Musician he attended The Black Actors Workshop in Los Angeles. During a class directed by 'Bill Duke (1)'_ he was selected to portray the role of a Russian Nobleman who said nothing while being interrogated by his own son while on trial for brutality upon his servants. His reactions to the questions so moved an attendee and theater director that he was immediately cast as "The King" in an African Childrens Play which played before standing room only audiences in Inglewood, CA for three months. It was said the he reminded the director of Kings in her home of Abijan, Africa. This character presentation landed him the breakthrough role of "Jondular" the African Mystic in the horror film classic Witchcraft III: The Kiss of Death (1991)_ numerous other stage roles followed along with riveting filmed Pivitol Character-Presentations such as the tenacious Captain Waverly in Dangerous Waters (1994)_ and the courageous Colonel Newhouse in cable televisions 'Jericho' (TV) (2006)_ viewed by over 8 million people. Respected as an actor that is able to step into a role and present the truth of the character he continues to seek challenging roles of pivotal characters that engage the attention of the audience and extend the range of his talents. When auditioning for the role of The Head of Security for a high tech computer firm for televisions "Freddys Nightmares The Series" (TV)_ Director Walter Hill (A Soldiers Story)_ announced loudly, as he pounded the table, THAT'S IT!! He's attended Six Universities and Colleges receiving a degree in Litigation after attending Matthew W. Gilbert Jr., Sr, High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He first appeared on stage in the third grade as "The New Year" in an elementary school production and never considered acting again until an ad that he saw in a newspaper during his broadcasting days, after serving in the US Marines aroused his curiosity.
