The character "Jon Baker" (Larry Wilcox) was named after Jonathan Baker, the nephew of series creator Rick Rosner.

His uncle is Rick Rosner.

He played a little boy in CHiPs (season 1, episode 1) and the same boy 20 years later (with a flashback) in CHiPs '99, in the same situation (on his bike, stopped by Baker & Poncherello).
