L. Dee Baker was born in 1937 on the farm at home in Yarmouth, Iowa. He began dancing at the age of 5 and his passion for the entertainment industry had begun. He left the farm in 1958 for Hollywood and within a week was working in the CBS mail room in TV city at Beverly and Fairfax. He landed dancing jobs in various productions and at the "Moulin Rouge" in Hollywood. From there he began stage managing and producing. He has 2 sons, Dana and Kent Baker who work in the motion picture industry as well. He retired in 2008 and resides in Los Angeles.
