Biography

Charles W. Bailey II was born on April 28, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He was a writer, known for Seven Days in May (1964) and The Enemy Within (1994). He was married to Ann Card Bushnell. He died on January 3, 2011 in Englewood, New Jersey, USA.

Father of Victoria Bailey, who is the executive director of the Theatre Development Fund in New York City. He died at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey. He is also survived by his daughter, Sarah Bailey; and a sister, Joanna Bailey Hodgman.

Son of David Bailey and Catherine Ruth Bailey. His mother was a musician and his father wrote for the Boston Transcript before going to work as an administrator at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and served as chair of the Nieman foundation.

He graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 1946 with his high school diploma. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
