Biography

Heinz Badewitz was born on May 26, 1941 in Hof, Bavaria, Germany. He was a production manager and actor, known for The American Friend (1977), Mathias Kneissl (1971) and Kings of the Road (1976). He died on March 10, 2016 in Graz, Styria, Austria.

Initiated the German film festival "Hofer Filmtage" in the mid-60ies and directed it for at least 25 years.

Received "Bundesverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse" from the president of the Federal Republic of Germany.
