Streaming Stars, Then and Now

John Baddeley was born on 16 July 1933 in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England, UK. He was an actor, known for The Dark Crystal (1982), Asterix and Obelix vs. Caesar (1999) and The Rise and Fall of César Birotteau (1965). He was married to Penny Stephens. He died on 13 September 2025.

A longstanding member of MCC and the Stage Golfing Society, serving as 2003 captain for the latter, as well as introducing a cup in his name.

He was granted special dispensation to leave his national service in the RAF to attend the Birmingham Theatre School.

English actor and voice-over actor, the son of Sidney, a bank clerk, and Gladys (nee Emery), a secretary. Began his career on stage in Birmingham in 1954.
