- He was known as a prominent interpreter of the French repertory, especially the role of Golaud in "Pelléas et Mélisande". He also appeared in several new operas, including "Pour un Don Quichotte," "La Véridique Histoire du Docteur," and Danblon's "Cyrano de Bergerac".
- His extensive discography includes noted recordings of "Otello," "Don Giovanni," "Le Nozze di Figaro," "Manon," "Thaïs," and "Les Contes d'Hoffmann".
