- Jon Bachmann was a finalist in his first fiction writing contest at the age of 18 with the Villa Montalvo Young Writers Competition with a horror short story. He entered SFSU pre Med, but changed to film theory and creative writing, and studied screenwriting at UCLA.
He works as an editor, writer and producer, has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards with one win for editing The Amazing Race. His screenplays and pilots have been semi-finalists and finalists in: Nicholl Fellowship, Cinestory Fellowship, Zoetrope, Austin, PAGE Awards, Tracking Board, Final Draft, and UCLA Screenwriting Competition.
He recently co-wrote and produced the award winning short film Le Ballon Bleu, shot entirely on location in Paris.
