Biography

John Aylesworth was born on August 18, 1928 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was a writer and producer, known for The Julie Andrews Hour (1972), The Sonny and Cher Show (1976) and Front Page Challenge (1957). He was married to Ann Spencer, Nancy Atchison-Aylesworth and Anita Rufus. He died on July 28, 2010 in Rancho Mirage, California, USA.

Retired in Palm Springs, California.

Inducted into the Canadian Comedy Hall of Fame in November of 2022 along with Frank Peppiatt as a member of the comedy team Peppiatt & Aylesworth.
