Fernando Ayala
He was one of the most important Argentinian filmmakers; he was the first of them who dared to talk about political issues in his films, back in the fifties, and during his whole career he criticized the military repression in Argentina, both in the films he directed, and the ones he produced, through his production company Aries Cinematográfica, the most important of his country, which he co-founded with Héctor Olivera. He was the president of the Argentinian Association of Film Directors at the time of his death.
