Suzanne Avery was born on October 28, 1899 in New York City, New York, USA. She was a writer and actress, known for Speed Crazed (1926), Slow as Lightning (1923) and Speedy Smith (1927). She was married to Richard Talmadge and Grover Jones. She died on December 31, 1993 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Mother of Sue Sally Hale (1937-2003) who disguised herself as a man to play polo, and who pioneered women's acceptance in that sport.
