Robert Atkins was born on August 10, 1886 in Dulwich, England, UK. He was an actor and writer, known for A Matter of Life and Death (1946), Black Magic (1949) and Peg of Old Drury (1935). He was married to Ethel Gladys Davey and Mary Sumner (actress, 1888-1956). He died on February 9, 1972 in London, England, UK.

Trained at London's Academy of Dramatic Art. On stage from 1906, invariably in Shakespearean roles at the Old Vic or at the Stratford Memorial Theatre.
