Biography

Pera Atasheva was born on November 18, 1900 in Moscow, Russian Empire [now Russia]. He was an assistant director and director, known for Osvobozhdennaya Chekhoslovakiya (1945), Metall (1933) and Boyevoy kinosbornik 5 (1941). He was married to Sergei Eisenstein. He died on September 23, 1965 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia].

Atasheva's marriage to Sergei Eisenstein was platonic, and they lived in separate apartments in the same Moscow building. But she was devoted to the director and, after his death, his legacy.

Buried with Eisenstein at Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow.
