Mered Atakhanov was born on 1 January 1914 in Godus, Mary province, Russia [now Turkmenistan]. He was an actor and director, known for Volshebnyy kristall (1945), Doroga goryashchego furgona (1967) and Dzhigit vsegda dzhigit (1986). He died in March 1987.
