  • Rüstü Asyali, one of Turkey's most important theater and cinema artists, was born on January 1, 1947 in Elazig. After getting acquainted with the theater during high school years, he started working at Ankara Radio in 1963. He stepped into professional acting as a State Theater artist in 1970. From 1970 to 2000, he worked as an actor and director at the State Theaters. Asyali, who also worked as a guest director in private theaters, has made great contributions to theater plays, culture and art programs, and various projects in radio and television since the 1960s. He portrayed Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in a documentary called Atatürk Tells. He sang the poems in the selection titled Understanding Atatürk with Poems, which were jointly published as books and CDs by the Language Association and Konak Municipality. Asyali, who is also a voice actor, retired from the State Theaters Chief Directorship after working as a manager in many organizations related to state artists and theaters in the following years. In recent years, he has been giving beautiful and effective speaking, speaker-presenting, voice-over and acting training in a private academy.
